Jan Draisma had a question concerning MeatAxe:

My question in short: do the generators in a MeatAxe-module have to be
_invertible_ matrices?

The answer also is short: no. You can use the MeatAxe for modules over
any associative algebra (with 1). You only have to make sure that your
generators do generate the algebra.
