< ^ Subject: Re: share library?

Alain Dresse writes in his message of 13-Nov-92:

I would like to know if there is somewhere on the net an
ftp-accessible location for individual developments in gap, such as
the share library for maple or the netlib library for reduce. In
particular, I was wondering where one could find the GRAPE package
mentioned in the Gap manual...

There must be some kind of misunderstanding here. The share library for
Maple and the netlib library for Reduce have nothing to do with GAP.
They contain freely available stuff for those systems.

Maple's share library is available via 'ftp' from

daisy.waterloo.edu (129.97.140.58)
neptune.inf.ethz.ch (129.132.101.33)

Reduce's netlib is (as far as I can tell) not available via 'ftp'. Send
a e-mail message containing the line 'help' to

reduce-netlib@rand.org

The GRAPE package can be obtained via anonymous 'ftp'. Leonard Soicher
('L.H.Soicher@qmw.ac.uk') writes:

GRAPE (Unix version) is now available via anonymous ftp from
IP number 138.37.80.15. It is in the pub directory in files
grape.README and grape.tar.Z. Please read grape.README -- it is short.

If you collect a copy of GRAPE and set it up (or have problems setting
it up), please email me to this effect.

Note: This version of GRAPE is an improved and expanded version of
that released at the Deinze conference, June 1992.
Note that the CompleteSubgraphs function now returns a list of vertex sets
instead of vertex-name sets.

Martin.
