Dear GAP Forum,

If you use a Mac under System 9, there is an excellent text editor,
called Alpha.
(A variant of Alpha, called AlphaTk, also works under Mac OS X.2.1)

I have written a GAP mode for Alpha (to be more precise, I
essentially made basic
modifications on an existing C++ mode), but it works fine.
It has highlighting support, automatic completion and automatic indentation.

You can download the GAP mode for Alpha at

Hello All,
Wonder if somebody has found (created) one decent text editor
with basic features such as Syntax Highlighting for writing Gap
programs.

Thank you,
