I am having trouble compiling the source code of gap3.2 under DOS.
I am using djgpp2.22 and NDMAKE4.5 . I was hoping things would be
as simple as typing make "ibmpc-msdos-djgpp" in the src directory;
but no such luck. Any suggestions?

PS. I did get the executable and it's working fine; I would just like
to do the compilation myself as an excercise.

PPS. Apparently my e-mail last week did not go through beacuse of the
disk space problem; unfortunately I didn't find that out until
after I deleted it. In it I just wanted to thank Thomas Breuer for his
response to my question on the direct calculation of characters and a
report that gap3.2 correctly calculated the characters of the groups
<2,3,3>,<2,3,4>, and <2,3,5> in a matter of minutes on a 50MHz 486;
it took a little longer to do the same on an DEC 3100 Ultrix machine.
